Dümmen Orange is the world’s largest breeder and propagator of cut flowers, bulbs, tropical plants, pot plants, bedding plants and perennials. For our Customer Service department in Columbus, OH we are looking for a Customer Service Representative.

 Job objective

Primary focus is to complete order entry and develop long-term relationships with designated brokers and customers. Responsible to liaise between brokers/customers and internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products, according to customer needs. A Customer Service Representative will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious sales goals and revenue growth objectives. You must be detail-oriented, experienced with Microsoft Office programs, and comfortable managing complexity throughout the entire order life cycle from entry to delivery.

 Your tasks and responsibilities

The Customer Service Representative's duties and responsibilities encompass but are not limited to the following key objectives:

·         Build and maintain strong, long-lasting broker/customer relationships

·         Develop trusted relationships with cross-functional partners on Sales and Product teams

·         Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products according to customer needs and objectives

·         Timely and effective communication of issues or changes in order status when necessary

·         Understand customer needs and requirements

·         Troubleshooting and resolution capabilities

·         Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally at all levels of the organization

·         Team player willing to accept new challenges

·         Confident with numbers to ensure accuracy of the order entry/management process

·         Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs

·         Highly organized and attentive to detail

·         Self-starting with solid follow-through and multi-tasking capabilities

·         Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload

·         Must interact effectively with all levels of management and staff, internally and externally

·         Excellent listening and comprehension skills

·         Proactive problem solving skills and a solutions based mindset

·         Innovate and drive to continuously improve self and peers

·         Excellent verbal and written communications skills

·         Computer literate with experience in ERP systems or similar order entry platform

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office, prefer intermediate or advanced Excel skills

·         High level of ownership and reliability  

 Your profile

Education and Qualifications:

·         Minimum of two years’ experience in a customer service or data entry position required

·         Ability to comprehend the Dümmen Orange product lines and communicate our value

·         Horticulture or floriculture experience preferred, but not necessary

·         Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

 Working Conditions:

·         Some travel required

·         Prolonged sitting at work station in a well-lit open office

·         Occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds of paper and miscellaneous supplies
