Sales Representative

The goal of the broker sales representative position is to grow sales and profitability for the assigned territory with the existing customer base, as well as prospecting new customers as well.  A successful broker representatives conducts themselves with integrity while being a critical resource for their customer.

Responsibilities

·         Grow sales and profitability for assigned customer list

·         Generate new sales opportunities by prospecting new customers in your territory

·         General management of accounts

o   Travel to customers to develop sales, build relationships & service their needs

o   Manage customer orders & programs

§  Booking of orders

§  Input of orders in our ERP

§  Involvement in order changes & substitutions

§  Claim resolution

o   Develop, administer & follow up on trialing programs targeted to achieve sales objectives

·         Attend Regional & National training opportunities hosted by the organization

Requirements

·         Proficient computer skills in MS Office applications, particularly with Excel

·         Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the horticulture industry required

·         Sales position that will require finding and developing new opportunities, self-sufficient in day-to-day activities responsible for executing a territory plan

·         Analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and team player facilitating cross-functional collaboration

·         Ability to work non-traditional hours if needed
