Dümmen Orange is the world’s largest breeder and propagator of cut flowers, bulbs, tropical plants, pot plants, bedding plants and perennials. For our Customer Service department in Columbus, OH we are looking for a Customer Service Representative.

 Job objective

Primary focus is to complete order entry and develop long-term relationships with an assigned portfolio of customers. Responsible to liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products according to customer needs. A Customer Service Representative will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious sales goals and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable generating interest, qualifying prospects and securing sales.

This role is located in Columbus, OH with a hybrid work model option of 50% in office, 50% remote.


 Your tasks and responsibilities

The Customer Service Representative's duties and responsibilities encompass but are not limited to the following key objectives:

·         Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships

·         Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders

·         Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products according to customer needs and objectives

·         Timely and effective communication of issues or changes in order status when necessary

·         Understand customer needs and requirements

·         Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure

·         Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest

·         Troubleshooting and resolution capabilities

·         Confident with numbers to ensure accuracy of the order entry process

·         Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs

·         Computer literate with experience in enterprise order entry and tracking

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office

Your profile:

Education and Qualifications:

·         Minimum of two years’ experience in a customer service position required

·         Ability to comprehend the Dümmen Orange product line and to communicate our value proposition to prospects

·         Horticulture or floriculture experience preferred, but not necessary

 Working Conditions:


·          Prolonged sitting at work station in a well-lit open office

·         Occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds of paper and miscellaneous supplies
