Claims Specialist

Overview: The Claims Specialist is responsible for collecting information about order accuracy or order quality claims, collaborating with appropriate internal teams to reach an acceptable recommendation for both the company and our vendors.
Primary responsibilities:
- Analyze and investigate claims and collaborate with appropriate team member(s) to resolve
- Uphold relationships and communication with Sales Representatives and vendors
- Organize and present claim review plans
- Run and distribute open preliminary claims reports to Sales and Customer Service Reps
- Run and distribute reports on claims waiting for credits to affected vendors
- Coordinate and participate in post-peak season reviews to identify process efficiencies and training opportunities
- Process all necessary credits and debits to the appropriate accounts
- Perform other duties that support the Operations teams
Experience and Skills:
- Horticulture or floriculture experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written for at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and within teams
- Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure accuracy claim process & cost
- Ability to maintain composure and a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to listen for understanding
