Description

Marketing support

  • Support sales, technical, and product management teams by preparing effective PowerPoint presentations tailored to various audiences
  • Utilize horticulture knowledges/experience to ensure a high level of horticultural accuracy and content relevance for external-facing collateral
  • Work closely with the technical and product management teams to ensure regular and relevant distribution of technical information
  • Work with marketing, sales, and product management teams to ensure accurate brand representation and appropriate audience messaging for each business unit
  • Manage creation and maintenance of growing guide documents for entire product portfolio
  • Write copy and develop content for industry publications and other marketing collateral
  • Proof product tags for horticultural and image accuracy
  • Provide support for product trial process, including planning, ordering, and follow up
  • Provide general marketing support as required
  • Assist in preparing product and display at events and tradeshows
  • Maintain industry knowledge by participating in continuing education opportunities

Photography & videography

  • Depending on candidate’s experience and interest, responsibilities related to photography and/or videography may be incorporated into job scope
    • Captures product photography in silhouette, detail and lifestyle formats at events and tradeshows, trial gardens, and in customer greenhouses
    • Processes images for print and digital use to ensure product is represented accurately
    • Develops video for product promotion and retail account support

Education

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in horticulture or comparable experience required
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with marketing-related activities required
  • Experience in capturing and/or processing photography and/or videography desired, but not required. Company-paid training to develop these skills after completion of probationary period is a possibility

Working Conditions

  • Completes four to six work trips per year, on average
  • Prolonged sitting at work station in a well-lit open office
  • Required to communicate and work effectively in-person as well as remotely and virtually (such as through GoToMeeting, Skype, and other communications platforms)
  • Occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds of paper and miscellaneous supplies
